NEWS:MAY - 2009 TEXAS  "JIMMYBOI " LIVE 2 HUSTLE HOUSTON, TEXAS

Jimmy Boi straight outta South West Alief Texas (S.W.A.T) the jewelry wearing Vietnamese rapper reppin L2H entertainment (Live 2 Hustle).  Jimmy Boi first stepped in the scene in 2005, a year later, he released a street hit called "Down South Boyz" featuring Youngblood's Sean Paul. The track had the World buzzin, momentum was on his side then all the sudden the world didn't hear from Jimmy for 2 years.  With music still in his heart, Jimmy kept recording. Now with enough material for three mixtapes, he decide to get back catering his fans and on top of that, he's scheduled to make his acting debut in a movie called "Saigon California." Jimmy Boi definitely gettin' it in. I had chance to hang out and talk about what is going on in his life at this point in time. So this is how I chop-n-screw in H-town.

Day1:

This time around, I flew out of Charlotte Douglas Airport with my homie Kavin. An early flight, as usual, landed at Bush Intercontinental around 9:45 a.m. Jimmy had already told me that he was going to be two hrs late, I was cool with it but damn that two hrs took forever.  I ain't gonna lie, it just so much you can do in an airport. We probably went in the same store twice. I was so bored, I started taking pics of a cow in space suit (ha ha). Kavin and I decided to chill and try out some automatic massaging recliners that cost us a dollar each.  Just when we were kicking back and relaxing, I got a phone call from Jimmy saying he was in the area. So we made our way to the door, that's when a murdered-out Dodge Charger pulls up. It was Jimmy and his brother from another mother, Ricky, We gave each other daps, threw the bags in the trunk and kept it moving straight to SF2 (Sneakers & Fashion 2) This is store where all the rappers, singers, ball players, BMXers, and skateboarders come get the exclusive gear from top name brands.  So after Jimmy Boi dropped like a stack on clothes and shoes, he took us to this fancy Sheraton Hotel in the Galleria area and got us checked-in around 3:00 p.m. Jimmy had to run a couple errands, so he came back to pick us up around 6:00 PM.

He just started taking a trip down memory lane. He took us to his old neighborhood, where he first got started with the weed game than moved up with the X game. Then he took us to an abandoned pool hall called TK, this where he got the nickname Pill Gates. Around this time, he said he was making some real money. Even the owner of TK knew what was up but still let Jimmy carry on do what he do cause, at the same time, it was bringing in business.  So after all the infamous TK stories, we went grab some Thai food where we met back up with Ricky and couple more of his boys, Pat and Billy. While the conversation was going on, I could hear the music die down then a happy go luck jingle came on with a funny F.O.B. (Fresh Off the Boat) voice singing "hap be burt dey do ooo" (ha ha). It was a little kid's birthday sitting across from us and they had wear a funny looking b-day hat and sparkling candles on the cake, that shit was hilarious.  After we filled our stomachs up, we went to this club called Element. I wasn't planning on drinking that night but the Hennessy chased with pineapple juice looked very temping. I tried to just chill but Billy kept forcing me to take a shot so I decide to have one, which was a bad mistake. I think I ended up doing like ten! (damn my face got red as hell.)  What I noticed about Houston's clubs is that they have cops patrolling the inside of the club. That shit was crazy but we did our one-two thang. Then we went to another hotel where some out of town girls they knew stayed at. We was just walking in making all kind of noise and then found out the dumb ass that stayed in the room next to them had left their door wide open. Jimmy and his boyz went in and come back out with Jimmy's new jewelry box (ha ha).  The girls definitely wanted us out, when one of Jimmys homies got wreckless and ordered a porn. So right after he ordered it, we bounced and that was all happen my first night in Houston.

Day2:

Jimmy Boi picked us up around 11:20 a.m. He brought us to one of his houses, where he had the professional studio set up to shoot the video.  While we were there I met his rap partner T-Double along with T's right hand man Big Cook. Again, we had to shoot in doors because of the weather but Jimmy was determine to get some outside shots. So he decided to book me and Kavin another flight because the next day was suppose to be sunny.  This would give us time to get the outdoor shots we needed.  Later that day, we got to met Jimmy's baby girl Savanna aka JimmyGirl, the smartest 3 year old I ever met. Not only did she know how to read, but she could sing or rap some of your favorite hip hop songs.  She's the reason why Jimmy had the child safety locks in full effect in his car but I still didn't know why he didn't undo it all weekend. When we rode with him, whoever was in the passenger seat had to open the door for the person in the back seat and whoever was in the back was called President. (ha ha) After we got done, Jimmy dropped us off at the hotel and went to airport pick up the lovely model Lisa Fleming from Cali. She came to do a guest appearance at the club we was going to that same night. He was probably was gone for about 3 hrs, enough time for me get quick nap.

So when he arrived back at the hotel, he brought the whole South West with him. They was watching the Rockets play and was cheering for every bucket they made. (So yeah Houston whopped Portland ass that night)  So with Lisa Fleming in the whip with us, we headed to the "Chicken" club.  We roll into the club V.I.P style, they had the bucket of ice ready along with the Hennessy and Ace of Spades. Jimmy Boi and his people was wildin' out party like its 1999 all over again.  This was the first time, I went to a club that served chicken wings. They sold the wings not inside the club but right outside in this covered patio area. Those damn chicken  bones ended up everywhere except in the trash bags. (ha ha) So yeah that was about it for day 2, I hit the sack 3 a.m. So I would be able get ready early that morning cause I didn't want to waste the money Jimmy put down, so can have some extra hours to do what we do.

Day3:

10:00 am Jimmy went back to his place to get his daughter to do the last "Better Dayz" scene. Right after that, we went to King Flea Market to go meet up with one of Houston's top jewelers, King Johnny. King wasn't there but the homie George took care of us.  One by one, he kept carrying in box after box filled with iced out watches, bracelet, neckless, and big charms.  Before you know, we was sitting in front 3.5 million dollars worth of jewelry.  Man, I still couldn't believe all of this was in a flea market right in the middle of the hood. But that was about it, Jimmy just dropped us off at the airport and we headed back home. But let me tell yall this, it's going to be more of L2H & Jug-a-knot doing business in the future.  That's a Bet!!!!

NEWS:APRIL- 2009 NEW YORK  "450" A rap group out of Rochester, NY

450 a rap group out of Rochester, NY consisting of three members: Esso, P.G., and Joey Bars. 450 have been featured on mix tapes all over New York and hook'd up with some of Brooklyn producers from the Dangerous LLC management. The Dangerous LLC management are known for working on hits like 50 Cent's "Disco Inferno" and "Window Shopper." With their debut album "You keep rappin we'll keep unwrappin" hitting the streets hard and getting air play in NYC, 450 is a force to be reckoned with. I got a chance to fly out to NY to find out what 450 is all about.

Day 1:

I touched down in the ROC airport at 9:45 a.m.; awaiting there were P dot G, Epic, and GC. From the ROC we headed straight to P.G's place so i could drop off my bags and settle in. The first thing I noticed through the large windows was the killa view overlooking the downtown area, like them Roc boyz would say "it was real icy." After I settled in we started choppin it up, while P.G. emptied out the guts of the blunt and replacing it with the finest sour diesel. After the smoke break, we headed out to get some food from a Thai place. I ordered a water down Raadna i try adding soy sauce for flavor but it still wasn't banging right but you know I still ate that bitch anyways.

After the meal, we headed towards Bayway to the Fort where all the 450 goons kicked it. On the ride to the Fort P shared a few stories about things that went down in the streets. One incident that he mentioned happened earlier this year that involved a fifteen year old kid shooting a police officer in the back of the head. "Since then the cops been out like crazy with camera on about damn near every streetlight they harass us any chance they get" said P as we pulled up to the Fort; they made it clear to it was Fuck the Police up north. As we got into the Fort smoke brake two came on its way and the video recording began. I got to meet rest of the 450 goons and also the second member of 450 Joey Bars. Joey Bars this big Puerto Rican kid that was about his paper and he had the sickest stand out voice of the group. The third member, Esso, was the brains behind the whole movement. Esso, also known as the lyrical one with punch lines for days, was currently doing time and I did not get a chance to meet him.

The whole weekend while I was in NY the chanting "Free Esso!!" was everywhere I went. All I got to say is keep your had up an I hope everything works out for you cause the ROC needs you back in the game. After a long day we ended up at the studio; I chilled on the couch while the 450 boyz shot dice. I didn't know how long they were shooting dice for because ya boy was knocked out! (remind you the day before I had to put 10hrs at work before I caught the early flight to NY; not to mention we was moving non-stop all day) It was now 8:00 p.m. and i was sleepy as fuck, so one of P's homies took me back to the crib so I could rest up for a little. Four hours later P.G., Biggs, and Chunk woke me up, but it was all good because that was all the rest I needed. They pop in the classic movie Blood in, Blood out we just chilled and watched the movie for a while. The most painful scene that i remember from the movie was when the dude got dropped on the fire hydrant. (urrrrrggg....) After the movie damn P,the gamer, started to whoop everybody's ass on Street Fighter 4 and then we called it a night.

Day 2:

Like myself, Joey and Swerve were some big dudes, so I believe them but no homo " I ain't dippin my wings in no ball sauce!" (ha ha) The pre-game was now in full effect with Hennessy and coke and everybody clownin and having a good time. The one thing that got everybody buggin was Joey and his mismatch socks, homie had one black sock and one white sock on. (Joey you know I still got love for you though ha ha) Later we headed to Dubland where 540 was set to perform. Dubland is a small underground club that held about 200 max. The 450 crew took up about half of the club because you know they roll deep. It was Joey's birthday and he was sippin on a gold bottle of Ace of Spades. In the club everybody else was chillin with a bottle of 1988 rare vintage Vueve Clicquot. "Dem Roc boyz are champagne sippers for real, hell P even got me a bottle" Throughout the night we were toasting it up, but most of it ended up on the floor. (These Cats was just sprayin it on some freaks in the club)

The 540 crew were just pouring it out for the hell of it; just imagine walking on puddles of champagne inside the whole club. The clock hit 12:50 and it was time for 450 to perform. Throughout the club you can hear the chanting of "Free Esso, Free Esso, Free Esso!!" 450 did the damn thing but going onto their 4th track a fight broke out and caused the club to close early. I was kind of glad this happened because I had to be at the airport at 4:00 a.m. for a 6 a.m. flight. (It was daylight savings time so I lost an hour) I hopped in with Blue rapper and during the ride back Epic was hollaring at girls leaving the club with a bottle of Clicquot still in his hand.

(My dude Epic acting a fool) We made a pit stop at the store to grab some Dutches and thats when a bum approach asking for money. P told the bum if he could get those girls to come over he would give him some cash. That bum went straight to work but those girls weren't paying him no mind. I think we sat in the car laughing the whole time, even though the bum couldn't get the girls to come over he still gave him five bucks. We dipped and I got out and grabbed my stuff at P.G's place. I looked at the clock and was cutting it close. I had to get to the airport ASAP. Blue rapper was making sure I didn't miss my flight, so he was flooring it with a Clicquout in his system. Blue rapper got me in the back holding of for dear life, but I got there all in one piece. I thanked the homies for the hospitality and got a "C -safe" in return. This was my true stories from the 585 Rochester NY.
